Frozen In Time

Yesterday, I picked up my new Canon EOS Rebel Ti2. I ordered the package deal, so I saved a hundred dollars or a bit more. Even then, I still spent a fortune for my baby! I figured buying my DLSR would be an investment, not to mention it would broaden my knowledge and love for photography.

I love words as well as pictures. To make a photo leap out of its stillness from a page, and capture its viewer is amazing. Beauty comes in many forms and sadly, it inevitably fades. Photography enables that beauty to be preserved, so it continues to bring forth various states of emotion. As the essence of life ebbs and flows, it is comforting to know that it is capable of leaving corporeal pieces of memorabilia for others left behind. A silent reminder that no matter how long we are far gone, a trace of us is still here.

Frozen in time.

*I’m still learning my way around my DSLR, reading the manuals and looking up photography sites online. I’ve also registered for my first photography class at Chimpsy. I’m so excited to explore the possibilities of having an awesome Canon camera, as well as learning how to take beautiful pictures! Let me share a few that I’ve taken so far. They’re far from perfect, but hey, I’m still a novice!
